A primary reason for WVC's existence was a feeling that international conferences were too expensive for many of those that should be attending such conferences. WVC continues to offer its Congress at relatively inexpensive rates in an effort to ensure a true global reach and participation by delegates. Where possible, WVC sets venues incorporating university residences in an effort to contain costs.
