Objectives
The goal of each World Valuation Congress is: Objectives

To identify the general codes of practice, principles and methods of valuation in use throughout the world, and to bring together leading valuers and academics from as many countries as possible.

The mission of the World Valuation Congress is:

To advance education and research in the field of the valuation (appraisal) of real property world-wide, and in so doing, encourage, stimulate, and promote communication and understanding between academics and practitioners.

The principal objectives of WVC are:

i) To encourage (and assist) the establishment of national and international criteria relating to and incorporating the principles methods and practice of land and property valuation and the development of appropriate indices, such as databases and database techniques, systems, and methodology.

ii) To encourage (and assist) the establishment of systems and facilities for further and continuing education of professionals practising in the field of land and property valuation.

iii) To increase communication and understanding between academics and practitioners in the field of land and property valuation and to encourage convergence in their approach to principles, practice, and methodology, and to encourage and assist the development of the principles and practices of valuation and related studies as a proper and recognized field of academic study and professional training.

iv) To generally promote and promulgate for the public benefit such areas of study and research in the field of land and property valuation and associated and related studies.
